Trip to Saginaw

We had the opportunity to learn about how New Tribes started. It was really great to see the heart of the men who started it and their vision. We saw that God is the same throughout the generations. He raises the same passion and heart in believers- to make him known- to the ends of the earth. The church we visited was Cycil Dye's(one of the founders on NTM) back in the 40's and he was martyred in Bolivia with 4 other men while trying to spread the gospel to a group of tribal indians. The older lady in the picture is his daughter, Betty. She told us many stories and shared letters from her father and mother. We had a great time and the Lord just continues to affirm us to be a part of tribal church planting.

Justin and Joseph, they became instant friends.
He is the great great grandson of Cycil. And he
had just finished going through the training with
NTM in England! So he had some fun things to
tell us about that whole experience. His goal is to raise support over these next 2 years and than head to China. He will be going there through creative access to a place where you can't normally go- to a "closed" country. We are really excited for him and i think we made a new friend!!.** Oh and Justin spoke in front of the church for 3 minutes and did awesome. I didn't realize what a gift he has for public speaking.

Fun at New Tribes!!

We have been up to alot...

These are our Dorm Kids. We had a

scavenger hunt and an ice cream night! And we even all fit into our little place.

**Emily and me just bonding together. She is so beautiful and is growing so much everyday. We love her so much and are going to spend as much time with her as we can. They are going home to Germany in just 3 weeks.

Happy Birthady!!!

Justin took me on a surprise date! We went to Ann Arbor and got massages~ wondered around Ikea, which is always fun~Dinner a P.F.Changs and than we went to coffee and did our homework. It was the best day. We laughed and enjoyed every moment together! It was so nice to get away from school and be with each other. I am so thankful God gave me such a loving and thoughtful husband.

These are the twins at work who brought me a cake and pizza! Thanks Jacob & Josh!

My Trip to Texas

This my favorite girlfriend!! Mitzi and I got to spend a night together, we hadn't seen each other in too long. We talked and laughed the whole time, I miss her already! The rest of the trip I did hair for people in the church. It was really fun to see everyone and quick. Hopefully Justin can come next time.

Well, this summer has been a pretty full and exciting one. We traveled back to Dallas for the majority of it and served the church plant there. The Lord has been so faithful to us and has blessed us beyond what we could have planned out or thought up. We are headed back to New Tribes Bible Institute next month, after a short trip out to California to see family. We also got some incredible news that Johnny Rees is going to go to NTBI this fall semester as well. I couldn't believe it when he told me but actually now I see the LORD has been shaping his heart for this for a long time now. So just a short blurb this time but we will keep updating as this seems to be a very useful and practical communication tool. We love you all!

Justin and Lauren!
